Elementary Summer Reading List 2012

Today’s lunch will be corn dog nuggets or cheese quesdilla, french fries, and fruit. Tomorrow’s lunch will be turkey or club sandwich, baked chips, and a cookie.

Coach Lance Conn will be providing a Pizza Hut lunch and drink today for all boys who played 4^th, 5^th , or 6^th grade pee wee football last fall. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of Coach Conn.

Teachers, we will have a change in the activity schedule today. Thursday’s activities will be today, and today’s activities will be held tomorrow. Also, on Monday, May 14^th, we will need to change field day practice times to the following:

9:00-10:00 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd grades will practice

10:15-11:15 4^th and 5^th grades will practice

Thank you for all your participation the American Heart Association with “Jump Rope for Heart”. The jumping competition will be held during the class parties after the field day games.

This is a very important week for our elementary because the Kindergarten will be having their programs Friday at 8:30 and 10:00 in the SAB. The sixth grade will be having their graduation ceremony on Friday afternoon at 1:00. We are proud of all these students and the hard work that they have put forth this school year.

Field Day and Class Party Day will be held next Tuesday, May 15^th. Field Day will begin at 9:00 on the high school football field, and Class Parties will begin at 1:00 on the elementary playground. Each grade will have a section of its own on the playground for Party Day on Tuesday afternoon. Homeroom mothers for the month of May are responsible for setting up the area for your grade. Please contact your classroom teacher if you have any questions.

Mrs. Sue’s Zoo will begin Tuesday, May 29^th. Spaces are filling up so please turn in your registration form as soon as possible. You can find these forms in the high school or elementary office.

Awards Day for the elementary school will be held on Wednesday, May 16^th for 3rd-5^th grades at 9:00 in the elementary SAB. The sixth grade will receive their awards at their graduation ceremony this Friday.

Track team members must turn in uniforms ( in zip-lock bags) to Coach Sykes ASAP. Do Not bring to office or give to anyone other than Coach Sykes.

These are free physicals.  Every Athlete at Heritage who is participating in athletics this summer must have a complete physical turned in to Coach Donahoe before participating.

Congratulations to Patriot tennis players, Clark Pittman and Brad Dickey.  They made it in North State and qualified to go to State.  We are proud of you!!!!!

Letter from English Chairperson

HA Summer Reading Requirement

This is the only free physical date offered at Heritage Academy.  Rehab at Work will offer free physical day for Heritage Academy athletes on June 2, 2012 at 7:45 am at the Baptist Memorial Outpatient Center.

All athletes at Heritage Academy are required to have an updated physical before they start practice with their 2012-13 athletic teams.
