Welcome to 2019 - 2020! The school year has gotten off to a wonderful start. Each week, I will be sending out “The Week Ahead.” This PowerAnnouncement will contain upcoming events at Heritage as well as updates on important information regarding your 7th-12th grade students. We are grateful that many parents and students were able to participate in the high school Open House last night. It served as a wonderful opportunity to learn student schedules, better understand expectations for each course and get further acquainted with teachers. As we move forward into the school year, please reach out to teachers and/or the guidance office to set up a conference as needed. We truly believe that the education of your child is a partnership between the home and Heritage Academy.
Each summer there are several students who move out of the area. It is encouraging to see that this year we had multiple families return back to Heritage from other locations and have welcomed at least one new student in every grade level from 1st through 12th grade – three grades with 6 or more! Our overall enrollment is up over last year and stands at 455. Thank you for the positive ways you are sharing the story of Heritage Academy in the community. The best advertisement for our school is word of mouth. And we are expectant that we will continue to attract new families to join our existing ones who believe in and support the mission of our school.
Upcoming events at Heritage next week:
8/17: Party with the Pats (HA Back to School Bash- 6pm Lion Hills): $25 tickets are available in both the elementary and high school offices.
8/19: Meet the Pats (Football Field 7pm): Please join us to celebrate our 2019 fall sports student athletes. Admission is $5 per person. The event will kick off at 7pm with a hamburger supper provided by the Sports Boosters. At 7:15pm, we will begin the program with a ring ceremony honoring our 2019 Baseball State Champions. Softball, Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Pee Wee Cheer, Junior High Cheer, Varsity Cheer, Dance, Pee Wee Football, Junior High Football, and Varsity Football teams will be introduced!
8/20: Volleyball vs. Lamar School (High School Gym 5/6pm): Please come support our girls in their first ever home match at H.A.!
8/23: First Pep Rally of the Year: In the high school gym beginning at 1:05 pm. The theme is Country v. Country Club.
8/23: V. Football vs. Jackson Prep (C.L. Mitchell Football Field 7pm)
