World History
Course Description
In this course, students will explore recurring themes of human experience common to civilization around the world and investigate how continuity and change have shaped the course of human history. Students will examine the historic roots of events, ideas, movements and phenomena too understand the lifestyles and contributions of civilizations worldwide. Students will broaden their sense of chronology and overriding themes in history in order to gain a foundation for historic analysis that will help establish a link across time, across cultures and across the world. Students will be able to relate global issues to similar state, national and international issues to gain a more global perspective of the role of the United States in the world community.
