Accelerated Honors Chemistry

This course is designed for second-year chemistry students to prepare them for a college chemistry course. Students will study many topics from the first year chemistry course, but at a faster pace and more extended level. Topics that will be covered in this great detail are: measurement, metrics, atomic structure, the periodic table, bonding, states of matter, solutions, equilibrium, kinetics, gasses, thermodynamics, oxidation-reduction, organic, and acid-base chemistry. Accelerated honors students are expected to perform intricate lab procedures with accuracy. Lab writing for all accelerated honors student should be “neat, deep and complete.” A superior math background is a requirement for accelerated honors chemistry.
