Honors Mathematics 7

The Honors Seventh Grade Mathematics course covers more advanced computations with rational numbers and lays a foundation of algebraic concepts. These concepts include real numbers, algebraic expressions, linear equations, polynomials, inequalities, geometry, ratios, proportions, percents, number theory, measurement, data analysis, statistics, and graphing. Students are given the opportunity to apply these concepts to solve real-life application, routine word, and non-routine word problems using problem solving techniques and technology. Technology is an important component of instruction. Students are given opportunities to work together collaboratively and cooperatively when solving routine and non-routine problems. This class is designed to prepare the student for Honors Algebra 1.
