Algebra III/Trigonometry

This Algebra III/Trigonometry course introduces and uses advanced algebra techniques and the fundamentals of trigonometry. The student will review brief prerequisites involving real number properties, exponents and radicals, polynomials and functions and graphs of those functions. Rational functions, conics, exponential and logarithmic functions, and systems of equations are practiced and real – world scenarios applied.

Trigonometry begins with the study of trigonometric functions, right triangles, and graphs. Radian measure and trigonometric identities challenge the student in a more advanced application of graphing and proofs, respectively. The student will also be exposed to inverse functions and equations, circular functions, and complex numbers.
