Welcome to eighth grade English. My goal is to build a solid foundation of communication skills and prepare students for success with a practical, complete understanding of academic material. Eighth grade English is designed to reinforce and continue examination of the parts of speech, sentence structure, and composition. Communication skills are necessary to all students, and the course curriculum strives to provide for review and improvement of these skills. An extensive study of grammar provides the foundation for continuing high school studies in English and language courses.
