Welcome to Pre-Latin. This semester we will learn Latin words that have English derivatives in order to boost you vocabulary power. We will also learn some common Latin sayings and a little conversational Latin. Your parents and grandparents will be so impressed when you tell them all you’ve learned!

We will also study how inflected languages work, using Latin as our example. An inflected language is one that changes the endings of the word to indicate its function in a sentence. Latin and Spanish are both inflected languages.
