Kindergarten – K5, Senior
At Heritage Academy we currently offer two kindergarten programs: Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten. Junior Kindergarten is available for children who have reached their 4th birthday on or before September 1 of the current school year.
Senior Kindergarten builds on the conceptual framework from Jr. Kindergarten. Numeracy concepts are deepened as children develop greater understanding of patterns, numbers, and space and expand their ability to reason. Reading instruction is guided by literature based activities and the Saxon Phonics curriculum. Science and Social Studies concepts are taught through weekly units of study. Sr. Kindergarten students also participate in Art, Music & Movement, Library and other special activities.
