Math is centered on multiplication and division. We also cover areas including geometry, fractions, decimals, statistics, graphing, and measurement. Our students also participate in the Accelerated Math program.

Reading includes the study of basic comprehension and vocabulary skills as well as critical thinking skills. Fifth graders also participate in our Accelerated Reading program.

Spelling consists of units that are based on word analysis/phonetic skills, vocabulary skills, dictionary skills, and proofreading/writing skills. We have a Sentence Dictation Test each Thursday and a Word List Test each Friday.

English includes the study of the basic parts of speech and other relevant grammar content including sentence structure and more. We also study and use the Writing Process.

Science covers the areas of life science, physical science, and earth science. Experiments and activities are incorporated in the course content.

Social Studies concentrates on the study of American history as well as map and globe skills. Projects are completed throughout the year.

Apple laptops are used in all subject areas throughout the year.
